Departmental of Civil Engineering is established in 1990 which awards diploma certificate after completion of three years program. Intake capacity of department is 60 students per year. It affiliated to M.S.B.T.E Mumbai. It consists of eight regular staff which include a regular head and four highly qualified faculties and three non-teaching staff. It has 100% admission since last five years and students achieving consistently good result in board examination. The department has well equipped laboratories with necessary equipment and infrastructure facility. Department organizes co-curricular and extracurricular activities for enhancing various skills among the students and faculties. The department provides testing, third party inspection and consultancy services for the society and generates revenue for the institute.

Department of Civil Engineering, Government Polytechnic Pen is established in 1990 and I am heading the department with my 33 years of teaching experience since last one year in this institute. Department is running with full strength of students and enthusiastic and well qualified staff members. The Covid – 19 sittuation changed the educational systems and made compulsory for Online activities like teaching, submission, admissions examinations, etc. I am proud that my all staff members are performing these online academic activities and tried best to avoid loss of students. Also the staff members of the department performs the supervision on the civil development works under progress in the institute. The department performs the Civil Engineering consultancy and testing activities.
