The Mechanical Engineering Department of Government Polytechnic Pen,
established in 1991, provides a robust platform for students pursuing a career in
mechanical engineering. With an intake capacity of 60 students, the department
has an excellent infrastructure, including modern and well-equipped laboratories
designed to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge.
The department’s faculty consists of highly qualified and experienced members
who are committed to the academic and professional development of students.
In addition to the core teaching staff, the department includes three supporting
staff members, ensuring smooth operations and effective delivery of educational
programs.
Our department maintains strong ties with local industries, which helps in
providing students with practical exposure. These collaborations include
sponsorship projects for final-year students, expert lectures on the latest
advancements in mechanical engineering, industrial visits, faculty development
programs, and consultancy services.
