About the Institute

Government Polytechnic Pen Dist. Raigad, Maharashtra has been established in 1990 by Government of Maharashtra under the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai. The institute offers Post SSC Diploma programs in Engineering affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. The Diploma programs in this institute are approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The institute has highly qualified faculty members and skilled supporting staff, well equipped laboratories and computer centers and well established Library with various learning resources. Being a Government institute, the cost of education is affordable to all the sections of the society. Moreover, the students are eligible to get various types of concessions, free-ships and scholarships provided by Government of India and Maharashtra to various categories of the students. The institute offers summer internship / industrial training to all students after completion of second year of the program which helps them to get ready for jobs in the industry. The institute has well established Gymkhana with various sports facilities for the students. The institute supports the students for getting jobs after the completion of the diploma programs through its Training and Placement Cell.
